Jining is a prefecture-level city in southwest Shandong Province.It is bordered by Heze in the southwest, Zaozhuang in the southeast, tai 'an in the northeast, and Henan, Jiangsu and other provinces in the southwest and south. Jining, located to the north of Nanyang lake and now the northernmost city, is an important inland port that can be sailed through China's grand canal.
